2007-08 Information
There have been many improvements to the WSU Gymnastics Club since last year. First, we are now part of the Sports Club Federation, which helps us get help on how to better run our club, opportunities to fundraise and advertise, as well as services for travel and budget management. Second, we are seeing more interest in our club and foresee the potential for growth in the future. And third, we have a team of officers and members who want to see this club succeed and volunteer their time to fundraise, carpool, or participate in competition.
For next year, we would like to work more closely with the SCF to further expand our club to reach more students, and keep them coming back. Another goal we have is to find other gymnastics sport clubs from other schools so that we could put on our own competition. But most importantly we need to find a way to make more money so that we could do such things as: pay the gym rental fee, lower the cost of dues to students , buy team T-shirts and uniforms, travel to away-meets, and purchase a club banner and fliers for advertising. With these proposed changes taking place in the 2007-08 school year, our club is sure to grow and become one of the SCF’s most popular sport clubs.
Lastly, it is our hope to better improve this club so that future generations of students will have the opportunity to experience or to continue the sport of gymnastics at Washington State University.
